An ex-Great Britain marathon International, he joined the financial services industry in 1977 looking for a career that would be sympathetic and compatible with his strict athletics training regime.

During his career he has been Section Manager of the Pearl Assurance, Midland and Northern Area Sales Manager with TSB Trust Company, Northern Regional Sales Manager with Hambro Guardian, Regional Sales Manager Northern England for the Alliance & Leicester Building Society, Regional Sales Manager with Frizzell, Associate Director with Bowland Financial Management and a director of Sterling GB Ltd.

Norman's clients have in the main been traditionally mature (reflecting his own age!) although there have been a number of clients who are younger in age and in spirit.

Now that the athletic prowess is long past, he has developed a successful career in an industry that he finds both interesting and stimulating.
